Small Lot Co-Op Wine Tasting

Taste wines at Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival! This wine event gives guests the opportunity to taste limited release wines from boutique Washington wineries at Hop Scotch with the tokens they receive at admission. Redeem one token for a 2.5-ounce taste or two tokens for a 5-oz pour.

Menina Flor 2009
A refreshing summer sipper, the 2009 Menina Flor blends 83% Horse Heaven Hills Viognier and 17% Red Mountain Roussanne barrel fermented and
aged 5 months in neutral French oak. Creamy texture, aromas of butterscotch and honeysuckle, lush with flavors of apple and pear with a crisp, dry finish.

Montreux 2007
The 2007 Montreux was aged 22 months in a mixture of new and used American oak to produce enticing aromas of wild blueberry and blackberry that combine with delicious dark fruit, spices and smoke in this classic Washington Syrah. While big and expressive aromatically, the tannins are even handed and velvety. The long finish is round and layered with flavors of wild berry and clove. GOLD MEDAL: 2010 Seattle Wine Awards

Sublime 60/40 red blend is a harmonious expression of what nature has provided us. Cabernet Sauvignon takes center stage while Merlot plays the supporting role. 36 months in French oak adds a diminutive subtleness to this theatrical blend.

2006 Damn Straight Blend
This is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot. Purple-colored, it has an outstanding bouquet of cedar, cinnamon, clove, black currant, and blackberry. On the palate the tannins are firm and round, and are nicely tamed. There are layers of savory fruit, considerable complexity, excellent balance, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish.

2007 Syrah
This 100% Syrah, aged in neutral French barrels for 15 months, shows the true character of this varietal. Its dense plum/ ruby/purple color is followed by a rich, sumptuous bouquet of crushed dried flowers, sweet black cherry and blackberry fruit. A voluptuous mouthfeel, broad, deep, concentrated flavors, and unbelievable purity, depth, richness, freshness, and vibrancy (a hallmark of this special vintage).

Deep garnet color. Aromas of cherry custard tart, cedar, and delicate baking spices with a spry fruity-yet dry medium body and a tart green apple and earth finish.

2007 Cabernet Franc
Aromas of doughy raspberry pie, buttery toffee, and clay with a supple dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a crisp, brambly berry, crab apple and forest floor finish.
