Taste from the Scotches of Scotland to the Best of NW Whiskey
Hop Scotch Beer & Scotch Festival is shrinking the world of whiskey – the February 22 & 23 event features NW whiskies plus a single malt vertical Scotch tasting, all inside Fremont Studios
(Seattle, Wash.) January 22, 2013 – The world of whiskey (or whisky, if you please!) is far and wide, but there is no need for regional travel or crossing country lines to taste the best in Northwest beverages or a vertical line-up of single malt Scotch. Hop Scotch Beer & Scotch Festival, taking place February 22 & 23 inside Fremont Studios, features a tasting flight with six whiskies handcrafted by Northwest distilleries, plus a vertical flight of five single malt Scotches from The Glenlivet.
Guests can sip on Scotch from far away Scotland, stay local with Northwest whiskies, or sample both flights to test their taste buds on the difference. Selections include:

- The Glenlivet 18
- The Glenlivet 21

Hop Scotch is Seattle’s premier beer, Scotch and spirit tasting experience. An event that can be self-tailored to suit individual sampling styles, guests can choose their own tasting track. Beer geeks can sample through the selection of microbrews from around the country, Scotch novices can learn what granddad knows, and mixology mavens can indulge in the event’s signature cocktail - the Monkey Jam Sour.
There are four ways to play the Hop Scotch game, from a Hops-Only Admission to a full beverage tasting adventure with the Hops & Spirits Admission. For those wishing to feel like a Hop Scotch VIP, limited tickets are also available for the new meet-the-makers Whiskey Lunch. Hop Scotch tickets start at $45 in advance.
