No. This is a 21 and over only event. We are heart attack serious.
The Hops & Spirits Admission and the Hops Admission includes a 5 oz commemorative tasting glass. Volunteers will not pour beer or wine into anything else. Volunteers will also not take cash in exchange for samples (nice try). This is where your tokens come into play. Hand ‘em over…get your beer sample.
You will need to purchase a Spirits Admission. If you decide to later do beer or wine tasting, you can purchase a glass for $5 and tokens at the Hop Stop booth. Additional Scotch or Whiskey flights can be purchased at the Hop Stop for $15.
On both Friday and Saturday admission and tokens sales will stop at 11:00pm, precisely one half-hour before the taps are closed at 11:30pm. Be aware of this when scheduling your visit to the festival. We want you to be happy. So arrive early and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the festival.
Taps will shut down at 11:30pm. The event will announce a last call at 11:15pm. No beer will be served after 11:30pm. The festival closes at 12:00am.
Heck yea. We will have one food truck right outside of Fremont Studios. It wouldn’t be a Seattle festival without a food truck, right?
There is no smoking allowed inside the festival, but there is a smoking patio available for guests. We ask that you do not litter and use the cigarette cans located on the patio. Remember that Hop Scotch is a no re-entry event.
If you are part of a group and plan to drink, assign a designated driver or take a cab. Designated drivers can purchase a Non-Tasting Admission in order to enter the festival. This admission includes water and soda tickets redeemable at the Bottle Shop.
A little wishy, washy are you? Not to fear, you may purchase a tasting glass and tokens at the Bottle Shop booth located inside the event.
Guests (including designated drivers), who are not drinking, will have to purchase a Non-Tasting Admission in order to enter the festival. Four water and soda tickets will be included in the price of the admission.
You can try, but it won’t work. And don’t even think about trying to use last years green plastic tokens, we’ve switched up the color on you tricksters.
Spirits featured in the Single Malt Scotch and Northwest Whiskies flights will be available for purchase at the Hop Scotch Bottle Shop. Best part? NO SALES TAX! Check out more info on our Bottle Shop.
