This year’s event is May 2nd and 3rd.
Where is Hop Scotch held?
The event is held at the Fremont Studios, which is located at 155 N. 35th St., Seattle, WA 98103, in the heart of Fremont. The event is close to a large selection of restaurants, bars, and shopping.
What if it's raining?
Unlike some brewfests, this one is being held indoors, at the Fremont Studios, which is located at 155 North 35th Street, in the heart of Fremont. So rain or shine, you'll stay dry!
Where can I find parking?
Fremont has lots of street parking available. There are also many U-park lots in the vicinity.

How much does it cost to get in?
$20 for advance admission and $25 at the door.
Price includes a 6oz. souvenir cup (while supplies last) and 6 tastes. A taste is one ticket (unless otherwise noted). Additional tickets cost $1.75 a piece. You can buy extra tickets with your admission at the main entrance or at the Ticket Booth inside the event. Souvenir cups are available while supplies last.

$10 Scotch Tasting: a flight of six ¼ oz. scotch tastes.
$30 Scotch Tasting Seminar with the Master of Scotch: The one-hour seminar includes 12 ¼ oz. Scotch tastes.
$10 Designated Driver/Non-Drinking Admission: get free soda and water samples.
Happy Hour: Friday 5pm-6pm & Saturday 1pm-2pm. 3 extra tasting tickets.
Can I buy advanced tickets?
Yes! Buy them here. Advance tickets are $20. At the event present your ticket at the door for a 6oz souvenir cup and 6 tastes. We will still have to check your ID at the festival when you present your ticket. Souvenir cups are available while supplies last.
What is the appropriate ID to get in?
The WA Liquor Control Board will accept 1) a driver's license with a photo from any state; 2) a current passport; 3) a DMV identification card; and 4) a military card. The state identification card and/or the military card must bear a picture of the person, the person's name, address, date of birth, a physical description and the signature of the person.
Does Hop Scotch accept credit cards or checks?
We accept credit cards as well as cash for payment of admission. We do not accept checks.
Can I bring my child?
No. This is a 21 and over only event.
What is the deal with glasses and tickets?
Okay, so you're in. Now what? Well, in order to sample beer at the festival you must have the official event souvenir cup. Servers will not pour beer into anything else. Admission includes a souvenir cup that holds 6oz. Beer servers do not accept cash. Tickets for beer needs to be purchased at the main ticket booth when you enter or from the additional ticket booth inside. Tickets cost $1.75 a piece and one ticket (unless otherwise noted) will get you one taste of your choice of beer. Tickets are non-refundable.
When do admission and extra ticket sales cease?
On both Friday and Saturday tickets and admission will stop at 11:00pm, precisely one-half hour before the taps are closed at 11:30pm. Be aware of this when scheduling your visit to the festival. We want you to be happy. So arrive early and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the festival.
When do taps shut down?
Taps will shut down at 11:30pm. The event will announce a last call at 11:15pm. No beer will be served after 11:30pm. The festival closes at 12:00am.
Is there any food on site?
Yes!. White Linen will be at Hop Scotch featuring your favorite pub grub.
Is smoking allowed?
There is no smoking allowed inside the festival but there is plenty of room outside the festival for smoking if you need to. We also ask that you do not litter and use the cigarette cans located outside.
What about designated drivers?
If you are part of a group and plan to drink, assign a designated driver or take a taxi. Designated drivers who register at the main entrance will receive water and soda tickets. Designated drivers may not drink beer while at the festival. Please abide by this rule and help us create a safe event for everyone. Designated driver admission is $10.00.
What if the person I'm with doesn't drink? Do they have to pay $25?
Guests (including designated drivers) who are not drinking pay a $10 non-drinking admission fee.
